About this display
Display your U.S. coins alongside a sculpture of John F. Kennedy at the podium, gazing toward a half-built Saturn V — inspired by the Moon speech that set America’s course for Apollo. Figurine includes the USA flag.
In 1962 Kennedy told the country, “We choose to go to the Moon.” Beside him stands Saturn V, the rocket that would send Apollo to the Moon. He never lived to see the finished vehicle, or the landing: he was assassinated in 1963, while both the rocket and the dream were still being built. The Saturn V is shown unfinished for that reason — a cutaway of engines and inner stages, the vision in progress.
A coin platform is built into the scene so a Kennedy half dollar — or another U.S. coin — can rest with the president whose portrait it carries.
Aurea Displays connects the physical coin with the artwork, symbolism and history of the Moon speech, Saturn V and the Apollo programme.
This display is particularly suited to pairing a Kennedy half dollar with the president it portrays.
The holder can be tailored to your coin’s diameter and thickness. Other U.S. denominations can also be accommodated.
Please provide your coin’s diameter and thickness in the personalization field so the holder can be adapted to your chosen coin.
The podium, speech pose and unfinished Saturn V are an artistic interpretation of Kennedy’s Moon vision. It is not an official NASA or U.S. Mint product.
The coin shown in the photographs is for display purposes only and is not included.
Coin dimensions vary between denominations and types. Please provide the diameter and thickness of the coin you intend to display when ordering.
