Personal information submitted through this website is used to take catalog orders, respond to enquiries, prepare custom designs, send order and tracking emails, and fulfil those orders. That can include your name, email address, delivery address, coin measurements, and optional photographs of coins.

Catalog payments are processed by Stripe. Aurea Displays does not collect or store payment card numbers on this website. Stripe processes payment information in accordance with its own privacy policy. Order records and coin photographs uploaded at checkout are stored with Google Firebase so the order can be produced and dispatched. Transactional email is sent with Resend.

Some products may still be purchased through Etsy. When an order is placed through Etsy, information such as your name, delivery address, email address, payment information, and order details is processed through Etsy in accordance with Etsy's own privacy policy. Aurea Displays may receive the information necessary to prepare and fulfil that order.

Photos of coins, reference images, and other information supplied for an order or custom design are kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to complete the request or order. Personal information is not sold to third parties.

Under the GDPR, you may ask Aurea Displays to access, correct, or delete personal information held about you. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Why we may use your data

To perform your purchase contract: your name, address, email, coin measurements and any coin photograph. To comply with a legal obligation: order and invoice records, which Dutch tax law requires us to keep for 7 years. With your consent: marketing cookies for ad measurement (see Cookies below). We send no marketing email.

How long we keep it

Coin photographs and custom-design references: deleted within 12 months of completing the order. Order and invoice records: 7 years, as tax law requires. Messages sent through the contact form or the chat are kept in our inbox for as long as we need them to answer you. Anonymous counters used to block abusive messages are deleted after a few days. They do not contain the message or your email address.

Where your data goes

Stripe processes your payment. Google Firebase stores order records and coin photographs so the order can be produced. Resend sends our order emails and delivers contact-form and chat messages to us. If you choose Chat on WhatsApp, that conversation continues in WhatsApp under WhatsApp's own privacy policy; we do not receive it through this website. Ahrefs receives aggregated website-usage data through their Web Analytics script (see Cookies). When you allow marketing cookies, Reddit Ads may receive limited browsing and conversion data via the Reddit Pixel for ad measurement and optimisation (see Cookies). These providers act on our instructions and may process data outside the European Economic Area under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

Chat and contact

The contact form and the chat bubble ask for your email address and your message, and an optional name. We use that to reply to you. The message is sent to us by email through Resend. We do not create an account for you. To limit automated abuse we store short-lived anonymous counters (a hash of the connection and of the email address, not the message itself). Choosing Chat on WhatsApp opens WhatsApp; that service then processes the conversation under its own policy.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and similar technologies to keep the shop working, including the shopping cart and currency preferences. These do not require consent.

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to see aggregated page views and traffic sources. Ahrefs says this script uses no cookies and no persistent visitor identifiers. It is loaded on every page so we can understand how the shop is used; it is not used for advertising.

With your consent, we use marketing technologies provided by Reddit, Inc., including the Reddit Ads Pixel. The Reddit Pixel helps us measure the performance of our Reddit advertising and understand actions taken after someone views or clicks an advertisement, such as page views, product views, adding products to the cart, and purchases.

The Reddit Pixel may process information such as pages visited, referral information, device/browser information, IP address and identifiers used for advertising and attribution. Reddit may receive this information when the Pixel is enabled. Reddit says its Pixel can collect match keys, event metadata, referrer information and, depending on configuration, product/page metadata.

The Reddit Pixel is loaded only after you consent to Marketing cookies. If you reject optional cookies, the shop remains available and the Reddit Pixel is not loaded.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using Cookie settings in the footer.

Cookie and storage duration

Essential shop information, such as cart and currency preferences, is stored locally in your browser and remains until you clear your site data or the storage is reset.

If you allow Marketing, the Reddit Pixel may set cookies such as _rdt_uuid and _rdt_cid, typically for around 90 days, to measure advertising and attribute visits or purchases to Reddit ads. Reddit may also use other advertising identifiers on its own services, which are governed by Reddit's Privacy Policy.

If you withdraw Marketing consent, the Reddit Pixel will no longer load on our site. Existing cookies may remain until they expire or you delete them through your browser.

Your rights

You may ask us for access to your data, or to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere, and you may object to a particular use. Email aureadisplays@gmail.com and we will answer within one month. You may also withdraw marketing cookie consent at any time using Cookie settings.
