About this display
Display your U.S. coins alongside a sculpture of Dwight D. Eisenhower speaking with a 101st Airborne paratrooper, inspired by the famous photograph taken on the eve of D-Day.
On 5 June 1944, Eisenhower visited the 101st Airborne before the jump into Normandy. The image of him talking quietly with a soldier became one of the defining photographs of the invasion. Here the two figures stand on a shared base, with a coin platform between them — a natural place for an Eisenhower dollar, or another U.S. coin, to rest in the scene.
Aurea Displays connects the physical coin with the artwork, symbolism and history of D-Day and the president whose portrait later appeared on the Eisenhower dollar.
This display is particularly suited to pairing an Eisenhower dollar with the president it portrays.
The holder can be tailored to your coin’s diameter and thickness. Other U.S. denominations can also be accommodated.
Please provide your coin’s diameter and thickness in the personalization field so the holder can be adapted to your chosen coin.
The grouping is inspired by the D-Day airborne photograph. It is an artistic interpretation, not an official U.S. Mint product or museum replica.
The coin shown in the photographs is for display purposes only and is not included.
Coin dimensions vary between denominations and types. Please provide the diameter and thickness of the coin you intend to display when ordering.
