About this display
Display your Roman coins alongside a standing sculpture of Julius Caesar, with an integrated platform for the coin.
This coin display presents Caesar in classical cuirass and cloak, based on the portrait type familiar from late Republican denarii struck in his lifetime. A square coin platform is held at his side so the piece becomes part of the composition rather than sitting on a generic stand.
Aurea Displays connects the physical coin with the artwork, symbolism and history behind the first living Roman whose portrait appeared on official silver coinage.
Gaius Julius Caesar (100–44 BC) placed his own likeness on denarii in 44 BC, breaking with Republican tradition. Those lifetime issues, and the later portraits issued by his heirs, remain among the most collected Roman coins.
A typical Republican denarius measures about 18–19 mm. Larger sestertii and provincial issues can also be displayed when their diameter and thickness are supplied.
This sculpture uses that portrait type as the starting point for a full standing figure in armour. The pose, cuirass and cloak are an artistic interpretation created to complement Roman imperial statuary.
This display is particularly suited to pairing a Caesar denarius, a later Julio-Claudian portrait coin, or another Roman silver or bronze piece with the standing figure.
The holder can be tailored to your coin’s diameter and thickness. Other ancient denominations can also be accommodated, including drachms, tetradrachms and similar-sized pieces.
Please provide your coin’s diameter and thickness in the personalization field so the holder can be adapted to your chosen coin.
The head, receding hairline and armour follow the recognisable Caesar portrait known from coins and later sculpture.
It is an artistic interpretation, not a museum replica of a named original.
The coin rests naturally on the integrated platform without being glued, clamped or permanently attached, making it easy to place and remove.
The photographs show the display with an empty coin platform. A coin is not included.
Coin dimensions vary between mints, denominations and individual pieces. Please provide the diameter and thickness of the coin you intend to display when ordering.

Other emperors, empresses and allegorical figures can also be created as custom coin displays, with the holder adapted to the coin you would like to feature.
