About this display
Display your coins alongside a sculpture of Bar Kokhba with the palm from the revolt coinage of AD 132–135.
The palm is taken straight from the coin’s imagery, including its seven branches and two bunches of dates. The figure represents the leader of the revolt against Rome, so the idea is to capture that struggle for independence. His tunic, cloak and sandals draw on clothing known from Roman-period Judaea, and the oval shield is inspired by Roman auxiliary equipment. His face and exact outfit are an artistic interpretation, while the palm is the clearest direct reference to the coin.
Aurea Displays connects the physical coin with the artwork, symbolism and history of the Bar Kokhba revolt series.
This display is particularly suited to pairing a Bar Kokhba revolt zuz, denarius or related palm-tree issue with the imagery from its reverse.
The holder can be tailored to your coin’s diameter and thickness. Other ancient Judaean or Roman coins of similar size can also be accommodated.
Please provide your coin’s diameter and thickness in the personalization field so the holder can be adapted to your chosen coin.
The palm follows the coin type; the warrior’s face and clothing are a sculptural interpretation created for a coin display. It is an artistic interpretation, not a museum replica or official mint product.
The coin shown in the photographs is for display purposes only and is not included.
Coin dimensions vary between denominations and types. Please provide the diameter and thickness of the coin you intend to display when ordering.
