About this display

A standalone Liberty statue inspired by Charles E. Barber’s Liberty Head portrait on the Barber dime, struck from 1892 to 1916. Liberty’s classical profile, Phrygian cap and laurel are based on the coin; as the original shows only her head and neck, the body and drapery are an artistic interpretation created to complement the late-nineteenth-century design.
