About this display

A standalone statue of La Semeuse, the Sower, inspired by Oscar Roty’s reverse for the French silver 2 francs first issued in 1897. She walks in a Phrygian cap, scattering seed from her apron; the windblown drapery completes the Third Republic type as a freestanding classical figure.
