About this display
A standalone seated statue of King Khafre, based on the diorite figure from his valley temple at Giza, now in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
The original, carved in the Fourth Dynasty in the twenty-sixth century BC, shows the builder of the second Giza pyramid on a lion-legged throne. The falcon god Horus spreads his wings around the back of the king’s nemes headdress, protecting him and identifying him with the living Horus. This model follows that Cairo sculpture — the throne, the clenched right fist, the Horus at the nape — as a 3D-printed interpretation of a real object, not an official museum replica.
Khafre Enthroned is among the canonical images of Old Kingdom kingship: still, frontal, and inseparable from the god who embraces him.
Choose your preferred height and colour from the listing options.
It is a historically inspired sculpture, not a museum cast or an official Egyptian Museum product.
