About this display
A standalone sculpture of John F. Kennedy at the podium, gazing toward a half-built Saturn V — inspired by the Moon speech that set America’s course for Apollo. Figurine includes the USA flag
In 1962 Kennedy told the country, “We choose to go to the Moon.” That speech launched a vision that would send men to another world. Beside him stands Saturn V, the rocket that would carry Apollo to the Moon. He never lived to see the finished vehicle, or the landing: he was assassinated in 1963, while the rocket and the dream were still being built.
That is why the Saturn V is shown unfinished, cut away to its engines and inner stages. It is not a completed launch vehicle. It is the vision in progress — the unfinished work he set in motion and did not live to see fulfilled in 1969.
The scene is an artistic interpretation created as a collectible figurine for a shelf, desk or history display.

It is a historically inspired sculpture, not an official NASA or U.S. Mint product.
